A new book on Humberto Mauro
Humberto Mauro was a great pioneer of Brazilian cinema. In 1937 Villa-Lobos provided music for the soundtrack of Mauro’s film O descobrimento do Brasil. The new book by Renata Saraiva is Humberto Mauro e as Imagens do Brasil. You can buy it here.
Unfortunately, though I’ve seen some web references on the web to both a VHS and a DVD version, the film doesn’t seem to be easily available.
